As part of our mission of empowerment through education, The Joy In Birthing Foundation offers regular free classes for the community. There is no requirement to join our classes, usually held on Saturdays at various locations throughout Los Angeles, though space will be limited. Please call or write to inquire about upcoming classes and check out more information under our CLASSES tab.
Child Birth Education - We offer a free class each trimester focusing on labor, delivery, and postpartum options and care. Please check out our classes page for upcoming dates.
Baby Care- In this class, also provided every trimester, we discuss life after your new baby arrives: newborn care, postpartum issues, and breastfeeding information. Please check here for upcoming dates.
Infant and Child CPR - This class will be offered only occasionally
Breastfeeding - During this class we discuss what to expect during breastfeeding, how to navigate common issues, and much more. Please visit here to find out about our upcoming classes.
Mother support group - Our doulas support a monthly meet-up event to encourage moms of newborns and young babies to ask questions and socialize in an informal setting. Check out our schedule here.
