One of my contribution to the foundation is to offer advanced workshops yearly so that I can share my experience with you, as well as hopefully create a loving and supportive circle of doulas who will back each other up, and become your best friend. “Giving Birth In America,” produced by the maternal health
non-profit, Every Mother Counts, is a new three-part, documentary series
which examines some of the reasons that the U.S. is the only industrialized
country with a rising maternal mortality rate. The series follows pregnant
women in New York, Montana and Florida documenting their final weeks of
pregnancy and healthcare options, highlighting the importance of doula care.
Immediately following the documentary there will be a panel discussion featuring some of the Joy In Birthing Foundation doulas and their client, who will share their birthing experiences.
